Very Good for Fine Hair

This OUAI shampoo does cost more than my prior shampoo, but I can feel and see the difference - my thin hair appears noticeably. thicker when I look in the mirror. So I am hooked!

I have long, chemically treated hair that’s become finer over time. Previously, I leaned into very hydrating formulas—but they consistently left my hair looking limp and weighed down. After doing some research, I switched to formulas designed specifically for fine hair, and this combination has worked extremely well for me. OUAI Fine Hair Shampoo & Conditioner Lightweight and easy to rinse Doesn’t weigh hair down Great for regular washes This is my go‑to for everyday use. My hair feels clean, soft, and has noticeably better volume without feeling dry or stripped. Olaplex Shampoo & Conditioner (Fine Hair) More nourishing and treatment‑like Slightly heavier, but still suitable for fine hair Leaves my hair feeling stronger and smoother I use Olaplex about 2–3 times per month, almost like a built‑in treatment wash. My routine: Wash every 3–4 days Alternate two wash cycles with OUAI, then one wash with Olaplex The result is hair that feels soft, has great volume, and—most importantly—doesn’t get frizzy, even in summer humidity. I’m very happy to have found this balance, and I plan on sticking with this routine long‑term.

Good but a little drying if used regularly for me.

I do like it, I had tried the clarifying version in the past and liked that but only used it once in a while as it's a little harsh for regular usage. So I thought this one would fluff my fine thin hair (which is also color treated) and it did. But it was still a little drying after a few times so I have switched to using it intermittently and maybe as a first lather and something gentler for the second lather.

MAKING MY HAIR FALL OUT

OH EM GEEE! This stuff is ruining my hair. When I first bought this product, it worked great for the first few weeks. Soft, bouncy, smelled great for hours! But now on my second bottle, my hair is falling out in CLUMPS. I have super greasy, fine hair, and this has only dried it out and broken jt so I can barely even brush my hair unless i load it down with so much product. Do NOT get this stuff!!

Destroyed my hair

I was so excited to try this out! I’d read the description and it sounded great, but unfortunately, all it’s done is dry out my hair and make it greasy. I’ve had no issues with my hair, was just looking for something new to try, and now I’m going to have to rehabilitate my hair.

Noticeable difference

I bought the tiny sized bottle to try this shampoo and was truly surprised at how much better behaved my fine, tends-to-friz wavy hair was. The price is high, but for me it's worth it. I spend less time styling my hair now and it has more body, feels thicker and looks better. Highly suggest you try it if you have fine hair.

Amazing results for thin fine hair

After a few weeks of using this shampoo, it’s been a total game changer. My very fine, thin hair now has much more volume and looks noticeably thicker. I will definitely purchase this again. The only drawback is the scent—it’s not very appealing—so it would be great to have another fragrance/scent option. That is the only thing stopping me from giving it 5 stars.

Make a scent free version please!

Love the fine hair shampoo & conditioner, but the scent is so off-putting. I want to smell my own perfume, not my shampoo. I am not 13.

This is my absolute go to shampoo. For years my hair has looked so flat and dry but using this has brought it to life. I use it with the leave in conditioner and the thickening spray and my hair is so voluminous! I get compliments that my hair looks so much more thick and healthier. But please please please can we get a pump top of the value size! The turn cap is sooooo annoying to have to deal with. And to refill it to the smaller bottle is super annoying!

Do not buy if sensitive to smells

This stuff smells like a 1995 perfume store. Why? Everything else is wonderful.

Experienced horrendous hair loss with this 😢

Been using for over one year now. At the start I loved it, but I’ve been losing significant hair for more 6 months now. I didn’t realise it was the shampoo causing it but as soon as I switched back to herbal essences my hair loss stopped instantly. Do not use this range if you have fine, straight 1a hair, I think it’s too drying and heavy which causes mid shaft breakage.

I’ve always struggled with fine hair and a greasy scalp, but I’ve been using this shampoo for about two weeks now and I can go longer between washes.
