Dry greasy mess

I have used and enjoyed the original olaplex shampoo/conditioners, except that I felt it was slightly too heavy for my fine hair. So I was very excited to see they came out with a line for fine hair! That excitement didn’t last long, this is absolutely the worst shampoo/conditioner I have ever used. Somehow left my hair with a disgusting heavy greasy residue, while also leaving it the driest it’s ever felt. I could barely brush out my hair and it would tangle back up literally immediately after brushing. Not sure how this passed any type of quality testing as I have a hard time believing anyone with actually fine hair could use this.

I have fine, straight, and thin hair, My hair type presents a unique set of challenges: it’s easily weighed down, gets oily quickly, and tends to look flat and lifeless. After using it for a week, I can confidently say it’s a game-changer for my hair type. A little goes a long way, which is a big plus considering the price. I only need about a quarter-sized amount. It leaves my hair feeling genuinely smooth and hydrated. It has a natural-looking, soft fullness that allows my straight hair to move with more life and flow. I’ve noticed a significant reduction in breakage and split ends. My hair feels stronger and more resilient, and it has a healthy shine that was previously hard to achieve without weighing it down with heavy conditioning products. It has become my new holy grail conditioner.

Made hair greasy and sticky after

I have fine hair and very disappointed in this product. It made my hair feel greasy and sticky 5 hrs after being washed. Disappointed on my money spent on this

Made my hair dry and straw like

This condition and my hair just don’t agree. I wanted to give this brand a try because it gets great reviews and it’s cheaper than what I normally buy. Normally, I use Oribe and will be going back. It made my hair very dry, frizzy and almost straw like. I have processed hair in terms of getting it colored. I do blow dry and flat iron/curl my hair 3-4 times a week. My hair is long, straight and medium to fine.

Olaplex bond maintenance

The OlaPlex No 4 and No 5 bond maintenance shampoo and conditioning set is a restorative measure in helping with breakage, whether it be from heat manipulation or wearing protective styling. This particular set is for fine hair. I am a straight natural, so my hair is curly when wet and fine when straightened. The shampoo is weightless and it does have enough slip to be able to detangle the hair in shower. The conditioner is a bit thicker, but it does coat the hair nicely and also aids in further manageability and detangling before going the extra step for the final style. Overall, I would say this set does help restore the hair and give it the extra push to heal breakage, add shine, and keep the hair malleable and manageable for styling. Hair is healthy and freely flowing after using this treatment.. I do recommend this product.

Nice volumizing conditioner

I bought this conditioner and the matching shampoo with my own money, was NOT gifted. For reference I have fine color treated hair but a lot of it. I also have a greasier scalp but dry lengths/ends and a lot of conditioners tend to weigh down my hair. This product is a nice midweight condtioner. It definitely did not weigh down my hair and gave it nice volume. However, when used with the matching shampoo, I didn’t feel like it was hydrating enough for the lengths of my hair. I used a leave in conditioner spray on my lengths and the olaplex oil on my ends and it still feels a bit dry. Overall, I would recommend this as volumizing conditioner that is better than other ones on the same category. I wouldn’t use this on a regular basis but if I wanted a bouncy blowout for an occasion, this would be my conditioner of choice. Other volumizing conditioners I have used for comparison are Redken volume boost, pureology sheer hydration, and oribe volume- would rate olaplex as better than those 3 but still not my HG (still looking!)

Volumizing/Hydrating Conditioner

The Olaplex Olaplex No.5 Fine Bond Maintenance™ Volumizing and Strengthening Hair Conditioner is a great deeply hydrating, strengthening, and repairing conditioner for people with fine, thin, fragile damaged hair without leaving the hair weighed down or greasy looking that pairs well with the Olaplex No. 4 Fine Bond Maintenance shampoo. I have very long, stringy thin, frizzy, damaged hair and its hard to find a great conditioner for my hair type that can still repair hair damage/breakage without leaving it looking heavy and greasy. This conditioner left my hair shiny, soft, and deeply repaired while still keeping my hair more volumized and light! The conditioner bottle is small (8.5 oz) but the conditioner has a highly concentrated rich formula. I applied this conditioner to the mid length all the way to my ends letting the conditioner sit for 3 or more minutes after cleansing my hair with the shampoo. This conditioner is a great hair solution to repair hair damage/breakage, strengthen, and hyrdrate with low molecular hyaluronic acid while leaving the hair volumized. This conditioner is a great solution if you are looking for a product that can help you grow your hair long with its strengthening formula! I took off a star because although the conditioner has a rich high concentrated formula, I don’t think the bottle will last me long for the price since I have long hair that requires me to use alot more of the product than normal.

The perfect conditioner for fine hair!

As someone with fine hair, I’m always a little hesitant to use deep conditioners or anything labeled “repairing” because they tend to be heavy and leave my hair flat at the roots. But this one it’s deeply nourishing without being greasy or flattening. My hair looked noticeably shinier, less frizzy, and much more manageable. But the most impressive part was how my ends felt, they weren’t dry or crunchy, which is a rarity for me as someone with color treated, fine hair that’s prone to split ends and breakage. It keeps its bounce and volume and transformed my hair’s texture, strength, and overall manageability. I can go a couple of days between washes without my hair looking oily, and I genuinely think it has helped with the longevity of my blowouts. The scent is subtle and pleasant, kind of a soft, clean, slightly floral salon scent. *Product was received as part of an educational promotion*

I like it but need more time with it.

The new Olaplex No. 5 for fine hair shampoo and conditioner peaked my interest the moment I heard about it. I have very thin and fine, flat hair that breaks easily. It has a little bit of frizz to it from the breakage and I see a lot of shedding. The shampoo is lightweight and bubbles into a rich and luxurious lather. Invigorating for the scalp. You can tell this is not your everyday drugstore shampoo and conditioner! It smells so clean and fresh and doesn’t weigh your hair down. The conditioner is rich and silky and I leave it on for the full recommended 3 minutes. I have used it for a week but think I would need more time to give it 5 stars. I have definitely noticed less breakage but maybe not as much change on the volume end of it. I think it is worth giving a try if you have fine hair.
