As someone who has been dedicated to Hourglass Cosmetics since 2016, I’ve finally found the perfect pair of lipsticks that truly stand out. The Perfect Nude: Known as "I'll Never Stop" (Beige Nude) in the Confession Ultra Slim High Intensity Lipstick range, this shade has been my go-to for years. It’s a beautifully subtle nude that complements a variety of looks, providing a sophisticated touch without overwhelming my natural beauty. Its smooth application and lasting power make it a staple in my collection. The Perfect Red: Entering my world with a bold new perspective, Red 0 in the Confession Ultra Slim High Intensity Lipstick has been nothing short of transformative. This stunning red is vibrant and striking, adding a daring pop of colour that is both eye-catching and elegant. It’s the ideal choice for when I want to make a statement without compromising on sophistication. For reference, my foundation is Laura Mercier's Real Flawless Weightless Perfecting Foundation in 4N2 Tea (medium with neutral undertones). My perfect shades are the Ambient Lighting Bronzer in Nude Bronze Light, Ambient Lighting Blush in Mood Exposure (soft plum), and Ambient Strobe Lighting Powder in Euphoric. Both shades not only offer remarkable colour payoff but also feel incredibly comfortable on the lips. Red 0 has quickly become a new favourite for its vibrant hue, while "I'll Never Stop" remains my reliable nude for everyday wear. Together, these lipsticks embody the perfect balance of subtlety and boldness, making them indispensable in my makeup routine. What I love about these lipsticks, besides the perfect shades, is the slim, sleek, and minimalist design. It feels elegant and modern, fitting perfectly in my makeup bag. Worth the money for the packaging and quality

Beautiful. stylish. it's definitely a treat, but it's so comfortable and vibrant. it's semi-permanent in that it does come off as you eat/drink, yet the color "stain" remains vibrant underneath.

Perfect old-hollywood red

This formula is so unique to me and exactly what I've been dreaming of - it's thick and gives a kind of painted look to the lips reminiscent of old hollywood stars. As a lover of vintage fashion and makeup this is a new staple!

Perfection, will keep refilling forever

This is THE most perfect red lipstick I’ve ever used. I bought it initially just to help support the vegan mission but ended up shoving aside all my other red lipsticks. Long lasting and perfect color.

This is the most beautiful red lipstick I have ever worn. I’ve spent so much time searching for the perfect shade - red always seems to pull either too orange or too pinky blue on me. This one is absolutely stunning! I hope they never discontinue it!

Vegan carmine red

Carmine is such an ancient pigment and I’m so glad there’s finally a vegan replacement. While most vegan red lipsticks lean slightly pink, this is truly neutral. I have a neutral light olive skin tone and this shows up as a medium retro red on me. The formula is the most elegant I’ve tried, and highly pigmented. I just put on one coat and go, whereas I usually put on a few and blot with other lipsticks. It does transfer a little but is pretty long-lasting and isn’t completely gone after eating. The amount of product is about a quarter of a standard lipstick bullet so this is definitely a luxury but worth it in my opinion.

It’s a gorgeous red….super stunning

This is by far the prettiest red lipstick I own. It’s so beautiful and hydrating. I can’t believe it is 100% vegan! That’s incredible and so awesome, as someone who is allergic to everything, carmine is just another one of many. So I am so thankful that they have made this lipstick! Thanks so much hourglass!

Smudges, transfers, and bleeds

The packaging is gorgeous, the color is a lovely red but leans a bit warmer, definitely not a cool or blue-toned red but more of a true deep carmine orange-red. I wanted to love this product, especially since it's refillable. HOWEVER, it slips and slides and smudges and transfers onto everything. The finish is satin but almost glossy. I've tried everything I can think of to keep it in place but it's just truly terrible. Good for a quick photo but spreads and smears within a half hour, if you talk, take a sip of water...anything. I've never seen a lipstick that transfers this badly.

Really pretty red. I haven’t worn it as an actual lipstick yet but I do like to dab it on and blend and it makes a nice stain look that lasts. I like that it is a cruelty free red.

The color is beautiful, feels so comfortable and silky. Highly recommended!

I’ll call it a Retro Red

Great lipstick , very comfortable on lips just like all the other hourglass lip formula’s . Definetly a great vegan option for the red. Although the color is not like Mac Ruby Woo which is more of a strawberry red, this one is more of an old school retro red. But overall a good product especially if you are into esthical beauty. I’d suggest go for it!
